Basketball coaches (Year round)
We are seeking experienced, passionate, dedicated and motivated basketball coaches to join our team. The ideal coach will have a strong understanding of basketball fundamentals and have good communicating skills to be able to relate to the players on both the technical and strategic aspect of the game of basketball.
We are looking for basketball coaches in the following:
- Lead the basketball program
- A passion for teaching the game of basketball and to encourage each participant to be a good role model
- Good comunication skills: Be able to communicate with the kids, parents and the Sharkx team
- Be enthusiastic with the kids
Responsibilities:
- – Foster teamwork, discipline, and respect among players while promoting a positive attitude at all times
- – Encourage and motivate the players to see their full potential
- – Develop and educate the participant’s basketball skills development
- – Follow the Sharkx basketball program model
Requirements:
- Previous basketball coaching experience with kids and teens is preferred
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire the participants
- Strong knowledge of basketball fundamentals, strategies and rules
- A background in sports education or related field is an asset
- First Aid (CPR) an asset
- A criminal background check will be required.
- Have the ability to support the participants effectively in a positive and safe environment at all times
Job type: Part-time (On call) – Contractual
- Avaibilities: on weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) and/or during the weekdays for the after school programs.
- Job hourly pay: $18 an hour
- Experience: Basketball coaching (1 year) preferred
- Work Location: Montreal – NDG area (In person)
